THE sale of the Moonie district cattle property Jilliby has been finalised with the sale contract settled on Monday.
The 2579ha (6371 acre) Western Darling Downs property, located 33km north east of Moonie and 112km west of Dalby, is estimated to run 800-1000 backgrounders.
Marketing agent Bruce Douglas, Ray White Rural, said the sale price remains undisclosed. However, it was significantly higher than the $2.5 million the property was passed in for at auction on October 14, he said.
Jilliby was offered bare of livestock and plant by the Anderson family and boasts significant pasture development work on about 2400ha of country. About 800ha has been cutterbarred.
Improvements include a homestead, sheds, silos and steel cattle yards with all weather access.
The property is subdivided into nine major paddocks and two holding paddocks. There is a 6km double frontage to the Moonie River and 12 stock dams.
