01 Jun, 2009 11:39 AM
Cattle baron Mick Gibson has snatched S. Kidman and Co's Sandringham Station for $7.5 million.

According to The Australian Financial Review, the station, set in Queensland's channel country, is more than 4500 square kilometres and was owned by Kidman for 105 years.

Mr Gibson, who runs up to 50,000 head of cattle, will use the land to expand his cattle production.
