WIDESPREAD flooding and saturated country rendered impossible for pre-sale inspections has forced the postponement of many property auctions and tender sales scheduled for various dates in March.
Following are details on some of these postponements as supplied by selling agents.
To gain further specific information on individual properties that interest them, readers should contact their nearest rural property agents.
Elders offers Mynumie privately
THE Elders property auction of Mynumie set for Roma last Friday, March 5 was postponed due to excessive monsoonal rain making access to the property for inspections very difficult. Although the homestead complex was high and dry, the paddock roads were barely recognisable and are now covered in thick grass.
Elders property agent, Vince O'Brien, said buffel grass was now higher than the fences but with three to four days of sunshine it will be trafficable again. More than 500mm (20in) of rain has now been recorded on Mynumie for 2010. The 6098ha property is completely destocked and is available for immediate access for incoming purchasers. Vendors David and Suzanne Bassingthwaighte have instructed the agents to submit all offers and sell this property as it doesn't fit in with their current management plans.
