Queensland concrete magnate Remo Bos is selling off Mirrem, his agricultural cash spinner at Ningi north of Brisbane.
The Australian Financial Review reports that the property covers 70 hectares of strawberry and bamboo plantations. It is expected to sell for between $4 million and $5m.
Mr Bos and his son Romolo control concrete form-working company BosForm and Remo Concrete.
"I'm getting too old now - I'm 65. It was just a hobby farm really," Mr Bos said.
However, the hobby farm is a serious cash spinner, with a lease over the 35ha of strawberry fields reaping $250,000 a year, while the bamboo plantation, used for edible bamboo shoots, nets $75,000 a year.
