Bramston asks over $3.5m

07 Dec, 2009 11:44 AM
AFTER being passed on a vendor's bid of $3.5 million at the Ray White Rural auctions on November 27, The Gums district property Bramston is now available for private sale at offers above that figure.

Renowned for prime hard wheat and highly productive cattle land, Bramston covers 2584ha (6385ac) in nine freehold titles on predominantly levelled heavy brigalow and belah melon hole country.

Up to 2106ha (5200ac) has been farmed, including almost 1215ha (3000ac) of newer country over the past 12 years.

Winter crops have been the focus over recent years with opportunity sorghum crops grown on summer moisture.

Operated for more than 12 years by Selwyn and Susan Schloss, the health of Selwyn has necessitated an early sale, with the vendors wishing for resolution before Christmas.
