ONE set of Brahman Week vendors and one set of buyers shared in a historic Brahman Week event that will never come around again.
As ABBA managing director John Croaker said: "It's not every day you sell or buy the 30,000th bull at Brahman Week."
However, day two last week saw the auctioneer's hammer hit for the 30,000th time at Brahman Week, meaning a swag of bulls have gone through the sale ring since it started in 1977.
Manny and Noel Sorely, Mt Callan, Dalby, were the lucky vendors who sold the 30,000th bull and were presented with a unique piece of Brahman Week memorabilia by chairman of the ABBA Brett Kirk.
Mr Sorley was pretty chuffed with the lucky lot prize and said it's going straight to the pool room. Well, the living room actually.
"It's a beautiful photograph and we already have a spot in mind for it on a wall with a down light - that's where we'll hang it."
The buyers of the 30,000th bull were Megan Bonanno and Karl Ebbern, Diamond Hill Grazing, Gin Gin, who also took home a framed image of Brahman bulls with a small plaque attached commemorating the once-in-a-Brahman-Week happening.
