Roma agents yarded 5800 head for Tuesday’s Store Sale where the market was fully firm on last week’s rates.
Feeder steers were virtually unchanged at top of 182c/kg, while weaner steers reached 214c/kg.
The Roma Store Index was steady at 100.9 points – up 0.9 points.
Feeder steers in the 400-550kg range topped at 182c/kg and averaged 167c/kg (+0); steers in the 350-400kg range reached 182c/kg and averaged 171c/kg (+1); and steers in the 280-350kg range reached 202c/kg and averaged 179c/kg (+7).
Weaner steers in the 220-280kg range reached 209c/kg and averaged 188c/kg (+5), while weaners under 220kg topped at 214c/kg and averaged 187c/kg (-12).
Jamie and Natalie Dingle, Bellfords, Injune, sold 502kg Droughtmaster steers for173c/kg or $870/head.
The Spreadborough family, Finsbury Park, Roma, sold 493kg Droughtmaster steers for 175c/kg or $864/head.
Heifers in the 350-450kg range reached 171c/kg and averaged 154c/kg (-1), while heifers in the 280-350kg range topped at 177c/kg and averaged 157c/kg (+5).
Heifers in the 220-280kg range topped at 174c/kg and averaged 164c/kg (+0), and heifers under 220kg topped at 174c/kg and averaged 166c/kg (+2).
The Stuart family, Evergreen, Talwood, sold 453kg Charolais-cross heifers for 154c/kg or $700/head.
Bob Bowen, Wylpena, Mitchell, sold 453kg Brahman-cross heifers for 158c/kg or $716/head.
Cows in the 400-500kg range topped at 152c/kg and averaged 127c/kg (+3), while cows in the 300-400kg range sold to 133c/kg and averaged 122c/kg (+7).
Cows and calves sold to $700/unit.
