Rain cancels Emerald sale

24 Jan, 2012 12:16 PM
DUE to widespread rain in central Queensland, Emerald, one of the regions premier selling centres, has been forced to cancel its sale on Wednesday, January 25.

After expecting 1000 head, the wet conditions have restricted movement.

Matt Beard, Landmark Emerald, said until this weather change had come through it had been dry around the district.

“Season wise, the rain is very good for us,” Mr Beard said.

The next prime and store sale will be held Thursday, February 2, subject to weather conditions. Agents are expecting around 2000 cattle, and advise to check with them closer to the date for further sale information.
