Blackall sale washed out

31 Jan, 2012 09:39 AM
BLACKALL is the third sale in central Queensland this week to be cancelled due to widespread rain.

Both Roma and Emerald have been forced to cancel, wiping three major sales of the calendar in one week.

Andrew Turner, Ray White Livestock Blackall, said the prime and store sale had been cancelled after eight to nine inches had fallen in the district over the past week.

“We’re still aiming for the combined Blackall agents weaner and store sale, but the weather will determine this,” Mr Turner said.

The weaner and store show is set for Thursday, February 9 with 4000 head booked in.
