Big Country bulls to $17,000

Bulls sold to a high of $17,000 and heifers to $10,000 at this week's Big Country Brahman Sale at Charters Towers.

According to Landmark, 161 bulls sold at an average of $3720, 43 heifers averaged $3930; and 16 semen packages averaged $1593 with a top at $6250.

The top registered bull was sold by David and Julie McCamley, Lancefield D Stud, Dingo, and the top-selling heifer was sold by the Blue Dog Stud, Charters Towers.

In total 220 lots grossed $975,000.

Registered grey bulls (91 head) sold to $16,000 to average $3664, while the 47 strong red bull component (registered) set a $4531 average.
