Flooding continues in Queensland

06 Jan, 2010 09:53 AM
PARTS of western Queensland are still experiencing flooding after days of heavy rain and storms which have left rivers swollen and isolated some areas.

On Monday parts of the Central West rain and storms brought the heaviest 24-hour falls since February last year. Winton ammassed 74mm, Longreach 42mm and Isisford 39mm.

Late on Tuesday afternoon further storms dumped 57mm in just an hour on Roxborough Downs.
