As a comprehensive souvenir record, the paper, from next week, will have a weekly flashback page continuing over the next 49 weeks, each featuring some event or highlight from back issues dating back to its beginning in July 1935.

In the last week of each month these flashbacks will be expanded to a 12 page section, continuing each month through the year to climax in a 64-page souvenir issue drawing on QCL's 75 years of history.

Another celebration feature is the opportunity to join the Queensland Country Life Club. For only $30 subscription, each member will receive a numbered keyring, free $30 classified advertisement, $25 Rural Bookshop voucher, QCL 75th Anniversary cap, heritage photo selection, sticker and 20pc off all QCL 75-year mercandise.

Each member will be eligible for a monthly badge number draw for a further choice of items.

There's also a fabulous prize package with total value of more than $90,000, made up of 12 prizes each worth $7500 contributed by the 75th anniversary partners. Readers can enter as many times as they like but each entry must be on the official entry form accompanied by two copies of the 75th anniversary masthead of QCL.

Under this system it is possible that one lucky reader could win the entire package.

Adding to the excitement will be the Queensland Country Life 75th anniversary dinner at the Brisbane Convention Centre on Friday, August 6, costing $170 per head.

This dinner replaces the former annual Beef Dinner but will be open to all segments of primary production and interested participants.

A special attraction of the dinner will the draw, open to all attending, to win a rugged and magnificent Isuzu D-MAX ute complete with drive away registration.
