Season's top price: $140 for Vic sucker lambs

Prime young lambs met keen demand to fetch a season's top price so far, $140 a head, at Victoria’s Shepparton regional saleyards, on Friday.

Quality over all in the yarding of 4300 head was described as ‘exceptionally good’.

A moderate number of heavy export weights were included in the yarding, mostly making $125- $136/head.

Lighter trade lambs, in the 17- 22kg range, made $90- $128/head.
