Blue-ribbon Queensland Charolais stud, Palgrove, recorded a $50,000 top and an average of $8470 at its sale on Friday.
Both stud and commercial cattlemen from all states of Australia and New Zealand competed strongly at the Palgrove Charolais sale conducted by David and Prue Bondfield, held on property at Strathgarve, Dalveen.
Overall the sale resulted with 172 bulls selling to average $7238, with a top price of $50,000.
"The result was very pleasing, and it was great to see so many repeat buyers in attendance, and to achieve 100pc clearance," Mr Bondfield said.
Topping the sale at $50,000 was Palgrove Champagne which was bought by Jane Tickle, Alpine Charolais Stud, in partnership with Joseph Pastoral Co, both of Dungog, NSW.
Champagne is the first son the Irish sire Bova Sylvain to sell in Australia, from the productive French female Desire family.
