WITH attention on visiting international horses now switching to the Aidan O'Brien stable, the Godolphin team is growing in confidence about its chances of featuring in the Caulfield and Melbourne cups with All The Good.

Low-key is certainly not the usual Godolphin style - but it has been happy to take a back seat this year as the field for Saturday's Caulfield Cup is sorted out. Travelling foreman Tommy Strang said yesterday the stable was hoping All The Good, who is borderline in the latest order of entry, would get a start. Otherwise, he would run in the Geelong Cup on October 24 on his way to the Melbourne Cup.

Strang said All The Good would have his final hit-out for the Caulfield Cup over 1400 metres at Sandown this morning, with his cup jockey, Kerrin McEvoy, in the saddle. If looks and condition are reliable indicators, All The Good has improved on a daily basis since arriving in Melbourne just over two weeks ago.

Strang said he was very happy with All The Good's galloping partner, Book Of Music, which may run in Flemington's Queen Elizabeth Stakes, which Godolphin has won previously with Hatha Anna and Fantastic Love.

O'Brien's assistant trainer, Andrew Murphy, said yesterday that the stable's three-horse team of Septimus, Honolulu and Alessandro Volta was settling in well after arriving on Saturday. Murphy said he believed that Septimus, topweight in the Melbourne Cup with 58.5 kilograms, could reach the heights of his multiple group 1-winning stablemate Yeats over the next two years.

Yeats carried topweight of 59kg when he finished seventh behind Delta Blues in the 2006 Melbourne Cup. "When he's as old as Yeats [seven], I think he'll have just as good a record," Murphy said.
