Weaner sales brought Wodonga saleyards alive
9/01/2009 | Weaner cattle sales since the beginning of 2009 have brought the Wodonga saleyards alive. The Land’s journalist Nikki Reynolds has been there capturing all the action. Sales continue next week with the Annual Wodonga Female sale where 3000 head will be offered. A full report on each of the Wodonga sales will appear in The Land.

9/01/2009 | Weaner steer prices lifted by 2c/kg and weaner heifers sold at firm prices at Thursday's Wodonga, Vic, Angus weaner cattle sale.
8/01/2009 | On Tuesday, strong northern interstate demand had driven weaner prices to a $610/head average, when weaner steers sold to 206c/kg and averaged 187c at the Elders-Landmark Angus sale at Hamilton.
Vic weaner prices lift on third day at Hamilton
8/01/2009 | Hereford weaner cattle on Wednesday at the big Hamilton, Vic, weaner sales series this week saw the main run of calves average 194c/kg, or $620/head.
7/01/2009 | Despite a slow start to the Birregurra heifer weaner sale on Tuesday, with joined heifers mostly achieving meat value, weaners achieved strong rates, with all classes sold dearer. Feedlotters and processors put a floor in the market, pushing the heavier end of heifers to 165-175c/kg.
